Trying out a state park that is new to us, Westcott Beach, on the New York side of Lake Ontario. A little southwest of Watertown, it was a relatively easy drive to get to.
2023 Trip 5: The County never disappoints
Once again our Sandbanks trip never fails to be a great time. We were able to snag two weeks at the park, although we did have to move sites mid-weeks.
2023 Trip 4: Safari Condo 25th Anniversary Rally
So hard to believe it has been five years since the last big Safari Condo Rally. Far too long since we have seen many of our Alto friends, and a big 25th anniversary rally is just the event to get everyone together again.
2023 Trip 3: surprise...the weather was fabulous
The weather was fabulous indeed! An occurrence to be noted as it is somewhat a rarity at this park. In the past every visit we have encountered winds and storms rolling down the river.
2023 Trip 2: Watkins Glen AltoGather
A gathering of Alto owners is always a great event, and this one was a dandy. Almost fifty Altos made their way to this excellent state park, their owners eager to meet, learn and just hang out.
2023 Trip 1: a great week in The County
First trip of the season to one of our favourite destinations, Prince Edward County. We made the trip to visit our longtime friends Lee & Howard, and as it happens, there is a private campground near their home…perfect.
Lithium Conversion
Well the time finally came to upgrade to a lithium battery. The eight year old Trojan lead acid failed soon after being put on the battery tender for winter storage.
2022 Trip 7: closing up
Another camping season comes to a close at Cedar Cove. Definitely a tradition now, and we were joined once again by Chris & Jen. Great spot to close up as all the sites have the three services, and it has a nice restaurant which we always enjoy.
2022 Trip 6: Bonnechere
Once again I play sherpa for the weekend, hauling food and gear for Dale’s annual Girl’s Weekend. Barley and I then set up at a site in another part of the park, and we just hang out.

2022 Trip 5: A Michigan Road Trip
Off to upper central Michigan to attend our nephew’s wedding, which is in a scenic area along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. The wedding is at a resort outside of Gaylord, so we decided to take the Alto and make it a little road trip.
