Back to our perennial favourite, Driftwood PP. After two weeks of reservation roulette back in the spring, we finally secured a waterfront site for a nice stretch of time.

Ever fumbled around on the floor while peering into that dark pit of the fridge, trying to find that perfectly frosty beer? I have many times, and it is not fun. It has always crossed my mind that a light would be so damn handy.
2021 Trip 2: Pinery
It rained hard overnight, and in the morning the looming clouds told us that it was going to be one of those dreary days. It was a travel day to Pinery, so at least the rain was not spoiling any beach time.

Wednesday had us on the road to Sauble Beach, following a couple of back roads once again.

2021 Trip 2: Tobermory
Back in the winter our friends Mark & Angela asked us if we would like to plan a road trip through South Western Ontario, pretty much following the shorelines of Lake Huron, and then Lake Erie. Of course we were keen to plan and then explore with them, so in early January we feverishly worked to secure the highly sought after campground reservations.

2021 Trip 1: The Truma Install
So the first trip of the season turned out to be a jaunt to the factory. This is an appointment that was lined up long ago, but of course, Covid threw a monkey wrench into the plans. Got a new date pencilled in and then just hoped everything would fall into place, which it did.

2020 Trip 7: winding down
Well, another season is in the books, and it was a bit of a weird one.
All things considered, meaning Covid, it remained great to get out in the Alto. As always.
2020 Trip 6: Bonnechere reprise
Well it’s another boys weekend, when Barley and I play sherpa in support of Dale’s annual girls weekend. Even though it is later in September, the weather was strangely warm, sunny, with nary a hint of rain. Barley and I are on the same site at Bonnechere as during the summer rally, and it is a dandy.
2020 Trip 5: Driftwood...a bit of everything
We always look forward to a trip to Driftwood, as there is nothing like a water site, especially when you throw in a sandy beach, only steps away. If you are looking for somewhere just to chill, swim, and paddle, this is the place.
2020 Trip 4: Rock Lake...a new favourite
Sunny with cloudy periods...perfect day for a drive up to Rock Lake in Algonquin Park. A new campground for us, and just one of the many within the boundaries of the park. There is something special about the lure of Algonquin, perhaps the vast swath of wilderness lends a feeling of raw ruggedness to the experience.
