This weekend was the end of yet another Covid restricted camping season, but regardless, we did do some nice exploring of Ontario. Hopefully next year will see some travel further afield, but as they say, it will be,…what it will be.
Roof Seal Repair
The rubber seal that runs around the entire edge of the roof is now eleven years old, and is still in pretty good shape. This is in no small part to the regular and copious application of the Thetford Seal Conditioner.
2021 Trip 6: chillin at Bonnechere
Another of our faves…but in reality, is there a park that is not a fave? We are into the shoulder season now, when parks are a little quieter, the air is cooler, and night falls a lot sooner.
Portable Solar Panels
This is an addition to our solar setup that I have hummed and hawed over for a long time, as for the most part, when we are off grid, the battery does seem to hold its own.
2021 Trip 5: water sites are wonderful
2021 Trip 4: a perennial favourite
Headed out for a long stretch at Sandbanks, a journey to ‘The County’ that we have been doing for decades.
2021 Trip 3: Driftwood...river exploring
Back to our perennial favourite, Driftwood PP. After two weeks of reservation roulette back in the spring, we finally secured a waterfront site for a nice stretch of time.
Dometic Fridge Light
Ever fumbled around on the floor while peering into that dark pit of the fridge, trying to find that perfectly frosty beer? I have many times, and it is not fun. It has always crossed my mind that a light would be so damn handy.
2021 Trip 2: Pinery
It rained hard overnight, and in the morning the looming clouds told us that it was going to be one of those dreary days. It was a travel day to Pinery, so at least the rain was not spoiling any beach time.
2021 Trip 2: Sauble Beach
2021 Trip 2: Tobermory
Back in the winter our friends Mark & Angela asked us if we would like to plan a road trip through South Western Ontario, pretty much following the shorelines of Lake Huron, and then Lake Erie. Of course we were keen to plan and then explore with them, so in early January we feverishly worked to secure the highly sought after campground reservations.
